The Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated ISRO scientists for successfully landing Chandrayaan 3 on the moon.
Modi reached the ISRO Network Command Center in Bengaluru on Saturday morning and met the scientists.
ISRO scientists explained to him how the landing of Chandrayaan 3 takes place and how the rover comes out of the lander through videos.
PM Modi has said that the point where the Chandrayaan-3 lander Vikram landed on the moon should be called as ‘Shiva Shakti’ and the area where Chandrayaan-2 landed as ‘Thiranga’.
“I am in South Africa. Then I went to Greece. My mind is completely with you. But, sometimes I feel like I’m doing you an injustice. I felt the anxiety and you felt the hardship. This early in the morning, at this time, I came here to meet you. I wanted to meet you personally and salute to you. That’s why I came”, PM Modi said.
23rd August is National Space Day
”India landed on the South Pole of the Moon on August 23. From now onwards, let’s celebrate this day as National Space Day in India,” the Prime Minister Modi announced.
He said that in the 21st century, India will solve the world’s biggest problems and our technological and scientific ideas will be accepted by the whole world.
He described Chandrayaan 3 success as not only India’s success but also humanity’s success.
